To the entire kehillah* of Yeshurun, those who
cherish and appreciate Torah and mitzvos*,
may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and abundant blessings,

The annual gathering of the central Yeshivos Lubavitch will be celebrated, with the help of Hashem, on Sunday, 14 Shevat 5714. The broadest circles must accord it the greatest attention and the most generous assistance.

Since the founding of Yeshivah Lubavitch fifty-seven years ago by the Rebbe Rashab*, and its establishment in America fourteen years ago by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, this institution has distinguished itself in this country by its extraordinary and Divine success.

It is difficult to imagine the immense clarity of the study of Torah imbued with yiras Shamayim* that Yeshivah Lubavitch has radiated and still radiates throughout all these years, due to its uniqueness, allowing its talmidim* to be trained to assume the mission of being "luminaries to give light," enlivening and strengthening Torah and Yiddishkeit* around them.

The lights of Chanukah* are kindled from sunset onward. Even though they are small, they are not affected by the darkness. On the contrary, their number increases and their brightness grows stronger from one night to the next.

And it is the same with the "luminaries to give light," that is, the talmidim* of Yeshivah Lubavitch.

The mitzvah* of the Chanukah* lights was instituted because the Yidden*, few in number and physically weak, displayed the greatest mesirus nefesh* to stand up to the enemy, who were many and strong, in order to purify and illuminate the Beis HaMikdash*. Likewise, whoever appreciates Torah and mitzvos* at their true value will not be affected by the fact that we are a minority, with limited financial means. He will give of himself to defend Torah and mitzvos*, "Your Torah and the chukim* of Your Will." Then, the Almighty will grant him His help and he will know supernatural success, both material and spiritual.

Yeshivah Lubavitch trains its talmidim*, in this spirit of giving of their own person, in the study of Torah imbued with yiras Shamayim*. They must therefore be supported, by all available means, to the broadest extent. For the pure and crystalline light of the Torah of Hashem, which is whole, and that of the most perfect yiras Shamayim*, illuminate the winding road that our people must traverse during the galus*. In this way, Yidden* can preserve their wholeness.

Thus will be fulfilled the promise of Hashem, that of the geulah sheleimah*, true and complete. Then, the Menorah* will once again shine in the Beis HaMikdash*, which will be built, very soon and in our days, by Moshiach Tzidkeinu*.

With my berachah* that Hashem fulfill the wishes of your heart and that we all witness the very imminent elevation of the lot of Torah and the Tradition of Yisrael*.

החגיגה השנתית של מרכז הישיבות תומכי תמימים ליובאוויטש,

שתתקיים אי״ה ביום ראשון ,י״ג שבט ,ה׳תשי״ד ,זוכה לשימת לב

רצינית וסיוע גדול ביותר של החוגים היהודיים הרחבים.

מאז שנוסדה ישיבת ליובאוויטש ,לפני 57שנים ע״י כ״ק אדמו״ר

מוהרש״ב ,ולפני 14שנים ניטעה גם באמריקה ע״י כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר -

התפתחו ישיבות ליובאוויטש במדינה זו

בהצלחה אלוקית בלתי רגילה,

אין לשער את האור הגדול של לימוד התורה ביראת שמים אשר

ישיבות תומכי תמימים הפיצו ומפיצות במשך כל השנים ,הודות

לאופיין המיוחד של ישיבות אלו ,שתלמידיהן ומחונכיהן מתחנכים

ברגש של אחריות להיות ״נרות להאיר״ -להחיות ולחזק יהדות של

תורה בסביבתם.

כמו נרות החנוכה ,שמדליקים לאחר שקיעת החמה ,שלמרות

היותם קטנים ,אינם נבהלים מהאפילה ,אלא אדרבה ,מלילה ללילה

מספרם גדל ואורם מתחזק -

כך הם ה״נרות להאיר״ -תלמידי ומחונכי ישיבות ליובאוויטש.

וכשם שמצות נר חנוכה נבעה מכך שיהודים ,עם היותם מעטים

במספר וחלשים בכוחות פיזיים ,לחמו במסירות נפש נגד השונא הרב

והחזק ,כדי שיוכלו לטהר ולהאיר את בית-המקדש -כך צריך כל יהודי

שתורה ומצוות יקרים לו ,לא להירתע מכך שהוא מיעוט במספר לעומת

אחרים ובכסף חלשים מהם ,ואדרבה ,להלחם במסירות נפש בעד תורתו

ומצוותיו של הקב״ה )תורתך ,חוקי רצונך( .או אז עוזר הקב״ה

בהצלחה למעלה מהטבע ,בגשמיות וברוחניות.

ישיבות ליובאוויטש ,המחנכות תלמידים ברוח זו של מסירות נפש

ולימוד התורה ביראת שמים ,צריכות ומוכרחות לקבל תמיכה בכל

הכוחות ,במידה הגדולה ביותר ,כי באור הטהור והקדוש של תורת ה׳

תמימה ביראת שמים טהורה ,מוארת דרכו הקשה של עמנו בגלות,

ויהודים נשמרים בשלימותם,

עד שתקוים הבטחת הקב״ה ,ותגיע הגאולה השלימה והאמיתית,

והמנורה הטהורה שוב תאיר בבית-המקדש ,שיבנה על ידי משיח צדקנו

במהרה בימינו.

בברכה שהשי״ת ימלא משאלות לבבם לטובה וכולנו נזכה להרמת

קרן התורה וקרן ישראל סבא בקרוב ממש.
