Greetings and blessings,
It has already been explained once, at a chassidisher farbrengen*, that, generally speaking, all accept what is said in mussar* sefarim*, and all the more so in the works and discourses of chassidus*. The polemic, in this matter, is solely the following: Is one personally concerned by this teaching, or does it address itself only to others?
It is surely unnecessary to remind someone like you of the meaning of the pasuk* "Days were created and, by virtue of him, the One is present in them." Each day, each moment of a person, is important and counted, within the framework of the mission entrusted to him.
Consequently, I am surprised by your attitude. Hashem has granted you success and you contribute to one of the institutions of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us. This should suffice for you for a long period!
Before concluding my letter, I am duty-bound to clarify to you that the channel conveying berachah* and success, in personal and communal concerns alike, depends on our nasi*, my father-in-law, the Rebbe. By strengthening and reinforcing one's hiskashrus* to the etz hachayim*, for example through his holy institutions, one can broaden this berachah*.

כבר נדבר פעם א' בהתועדות אשר בכלל כאו"א מסכים על כל הענינים האמורים בספרי מוסר ועאכו"כ בספרי ומאמרי חסידות, אלא שכל הפלוגתא בזה, אם גם אליו שייכים הדברים, או שכ"ז מדובר אודות אחר זולתו. ובודאי לדכוותי' אך למותר להאריך בביאור הענין דימים יוצרו ולוא אחד בהם איך שכל הימים ורגעים חשובים ומדודים לכאו"א מתאים לעניני תפקידו... הנה פליאה בעיני הנהגה כזו, שאחר שהצליחו השי"ת לקחת חלק באחד המוסדות של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, הנה מפסיק בזה לכמה חדשים...
החובה עלי ג"כ לכתוב קודם סיומי המכתב, כי צנור הברכה והצלחה הן בעניינים הפרטיים והן בענינים הכללים הם ע"י נשיאנו הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, וכל המוסיף כח ואומץ בהתקשרות באילנא דחיי ע"י מוסדותיו הקדושים בד"מ מוסיף ג"כ בהשפעת והמשכת הנ"ל.
