Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter and, due to my many activities, I was unable to respond to you earlier, and you will please excuse me for this.

I am surprised that you paid attention to the article, published by the press in Eretz HaKodesh*, which passes an injurious judgment on your relationship and mine with the Aliyas HaNoar*. Anyone who knows the value of this newspaper [2] will consider this article insignificant. For the officials and heads of the ministries know the truth. It is a fact that we are on excellent terms with the office of Aliyas HaNoar*. The vocational school and the agricultural school that we are founding in Eretz HaKodesh* are proof of this.

As for the denial that should be made in the press, experience has shown that it is preferable to forget all this and to accord it no importance — which one would do, on the contrary, if there were such a denial and a dialogue were engaged with the newspaper, which, moreover, knows the truth perfectly well and adopts this position only with regard to the outside.

Such a political action is endless. Moreover, these men are owners of the newspaper. Lies and slander are their arsenal. It is therefore a pity to invest efforts in this matter. He Who dwells in the heavens laughs at it.

I enclose a copy of my letter [3], addressed to all on the occasion of the chag hageulah* of Yud-Tes Kislev. Without doubt, it will interest you very much.

מכתבו קבלתי ומפני רוב הטרדות לא היו עתותי בידי להקדים המענה וכ' יענה סלחתי.

לפלא בעיני אשר מע"כ שם לב לקטע העתון באה"ק ת"ו המטיח דברים כלפי היחס של כ' וכן כלפי היחס שלי בענין עלית הנוער. וכל המכיר בטיב העתון הזה משליך הדברים מאחרי גוו. אבל הפקידים ומנהלי המשרדים יודעים האמת, והעובדה היא שעומדים אנו ביחסים מצויינים עם לשכת עלית הנוער, ובית הספר למלאכה וכן בית הספר לחקלאות שאנו מקימים באה"ק ת"ו יוכיחו.

ובנוגע להכחשה בעתונות, הנה הנסיון הורה כי העצה היעוצה היא להסיח דעת מענין כזה ולא להחשיבו על ידי הכחשה ודין ודברים עם העתון, וגם הם בעצמם יודעים האמת והדברים הם מהשפה ולחוץ, ומלבד שפוליטיקה כזו היא מהדברים שאין להם סוף, הרי העתון ברשותם והכזב והשקר כלי זינם, וחבל על הטרחה. ויושב בשמים ישחק.
