To the rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Hillel [1],

Greetings and blessings,

I received news of you with pleasure, through your mother and sisters, after a long interruption during which I received no letter from you. Likewise, I learned that you spoke at the conclusion of the study of Talmud*, on the luminous day of our liberation and the deliverance of our souls, the past Yud-Tes Kislev.

No doubt you also cite, in your explanations, concepts deriving from chassidus*. For ultimately, the goal of each one is indeed yiras Hashem*. Now, it is by virtue of the explanations of chassidus* that one can fear Him sincerely. One must therefore seize every opportunity to make them known.

I duly received your gift, the responsa of the Maharik. I would like to know whether it is possible to consult a list of your other sefarim*. Obviously, I am not asking that they be given to me, but some could be useful here, if they were lent, with the obligation to return them afterwards.

I enclose a copy of my letter addressed to all [2] on the occasion of the luminous day of the chag hageulah*, Yud-Tes Kislev, the content of which is valid throughout the year. No doubt you will disseminate it in the proper manner.

נעם לי לקבל הפ"ש ע"י אמו ואחיותיו תחי' אחרי הפסק הארוך שלא נתקבל ממנו כל מכתב. כן קבלתי ידיעה שאמר הדרן בסיום הש"ס ביום הבהיר חג גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו הוא י"ט כסלו העבר, ובטח מתבל בזה ג"כ איזה רעיונות מתורת החסידות, כי הרי סו"ס זה כל האדם ליראת את ה"א, וליראה אמיתית באים ע"י הענינים המבוארים בתורת החסידות, ובמילא בכל הזדמנות יש לחפש אופן איך לפעול בזה.

מאשר הנני בזה קבלת תשורתו הס' שו"ת מהרי"ק, ומעניין אותי לדעת אם אפשר לראות רשימת שאר ספריו, ומובן שאין כוונתי בזה לתשורה אלא שאפשר יש ביניהם כאלו שיביאו כאן תועלת אם אשאלם ע"מ להחזיר לאחר איזה זמן.
