To the great rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Yitzchak [1],

Greetings and blessings,

You tell me that between Yishtabach* and Yotzer* [2], you consult a sefer* of chassidus*. I do not see what negative aspect this practice can have, since it prepares you for the continuation of the tefillah*. Indeed, you surely consult this sefer* in thought, without bringing speech into play.

You know the statement of our acharonim* according to which, formerly, one arrived at the shul* for Yotzer*, or further that public tefillah* began then.

In anticipation of your good news and with my berachah* for carrying out your sacred mission,

...מ"ש שבין ישתבח ליוצר מעיין בדא"ח באיזה ספר, הנה איני רואה בזה מקום לחשש כיון שזהו הכנה לחלקי התפלה הבאים אח"ז - כי בטח ה"ז רק שמעיין במחשבה ולא בדבור, והרי ידוע המובא באחרונים אשר בשנים קדמוניות היו באים לבית הכנסת או עכ"פ מתחילים תפלה בצבור מברכות יוצר ואילך.
