Greetings and blessings,

I learned with pleasure, from the rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Michoel Lipsker, that you continue to assume your function and to lead the city of Meknes as you did before.

Our Sages say that every appointment is willed by Hashem, particularly that of the leader of a holy community, whose material preoccupations are also sacred. And how much more so are those of a spiritual character.

Without a doubt, you will use your great capacities and your influence to strengthen and disseminate the foundations of Yiddishkeit*, of Torah* and mitzvos*, in the spirit of the tradition of Yisrael*, within the entire community.

Perpetuating its luminous past, the holy community of your city will remain, in the future, a model of Yiddishkeit*, a center of Torah* filled with yiras Shamayim* for all of Morocco.

נעם לי לקבל ידיעה מהרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' מוה"ר מיכאל שי' ליפסקאר, אשר עומד כבודו על משרתו להנהיג קהלת הקדש דעיר מכנז כמקדם, וכבר ידוע מאמר רבותינו זכרונם לברכה אשר כל מינוי הרי הוא מן השמים ובפרט מינוי למנהיג בקהלה קדושה אשר אפילו הענינים הגשמיים שלה הם קדושים ועל אחת כמה וכמה ענינים הרוחניים, ובודאי ינצל כבודו את טיב כשרונותיו והשפעתו להחזיק ולהפיץ יסודי היהדות ותורה ומצות ברוח ישראל סבא בכל הקהלה, ובהמשך להעבר המזהיר דקהלה קדושה דעירו תשמש גם מכאן ולהבא למופת ביהדותה וכמרכז לתורה ביראת שמים לכל מרוקה.
