To the honorable Mr. Binyamin Glaser, may he live.

I hereby bless you and all those close to you, and in particular your dear parents, may they live — that they should be blessed with a full recovery and with good health — and that you all should be written and sealed for a good and sweet year, both materially and spiritually.

I wish to share with you a teaching of the Tzemach Tzedek* [1], which was transmitted to us by the Previous Rebbe*, may his memory be for a blessing:

'An oral commentary concerns many people; a printed commentary addresses all generations.' [1]

That is to say: words spoken aloud reach those who are present at that moment. But a teaching that is committed to print — that teaching reaches not only those alive today, but all future generations as well.

You, Mr. Glaser [2], have merited to finance the printing of books of the Tzemach Tzedek* — and through this, thousands and tens of thousands of Jews* will study these holy words, in this generation and in generations to come.

This great merit will stand by you and protect you — for the Torah* that is studied from those books is, in a certain sense, your Torah*, since it was through your generosity that it came to be printed and disseminated.

May Hashem* grant you a year of blessing in all respects.
