To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessing,
I reply to your letter of the eve of Shabbos Korach, in which you ask me whether it is good to translate these texts into another language, in addition to French (Rav Tzoller effectively translated texts of the Torah into this language).
A) Since there are Jews susceptible of reading a certain language, it is good to translate texts of Chassidus* into it, for this is a means of spreading the wellsprings (of Chassidus, necessary condition for Mashiach* to be able to come) to the outside.
B) You tell me that you strive to obtain French nationality. It is necessary to verify, beforehand, whether it is possible for you to become Swiss. For various reasons, this nationality is preferable. Nevertheless, if it turns out that this is impossible or if it raises great difficulties, you may effectively become French.

במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק קרח ובו שאלה אם כדאי להעתיק את הענינים השונים גם לשפה אחרת מלבד צרפתית.
א) הנה אם רק ישנם קוראים מבין בני שיראל בשפה איזה שתהי' כדאי להעתיק עניני דא"ח בהשפה ההיא כי ה"ז בכלל הענין דיפוצו מעיינותיך חוצה...
ג) במ"ש אודות השתדלות השגת נתינות צרפת, צריך מקודם לברר אולי ישנה אפשרית לקבלת נתינות שווייץ שמכמה טעמים טובה יותר ורק אם יתברר שזה אי אפשר או קשור בקישויים גדולים למדי, אזי יש להשתדל בהנתינות הצרפתית.
