Greetings and blessing,
I received with pleasure your letter of Friday of Parashas Chukas, in which you announce to me that your son Yosef has become Bar Mitzvah*, that he, on this occasion, commented on the Parashah of our holy Torah and on passages of the holy Zohar.
May Hashem grant that, having attained the age of thirteen, that of the obligation to practice the mitzvos*, he arrive at that of fifteen and the study of Gemara*, conformably to the ruling of our holy Torah. You and your wife will conceive much nachas* of him and of all the members of your family.
I am a little surprised not to read, in your letter, that the Bar Mitzvah boy also mentioned, in his discourse, explanations of Chassidus*. Now, you know doubtless what a letter of the holy Baal Shem Tov reports. It recounts that on Rosh Hashanah 5507 (1746), the Baal Shem Tov ascended to the heavenly sanctuary of Mashiach* and asked him: "When will you come?"
Our righteous Mashiach* replied to him: "When the wellsprings of your teaching will spread outward," which alludes to the teaching of Chassidus*. A sichah* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, which was said on Simchas Torah 5690 (1929), explains all that at length.

בנועם קבלתי מכתבו מיום ששי לסדר חקת התורה בו מבשר טוב אשר בנו יוסף שי' נכנס בברית המצות וגם דרש בתורה"ק מענינא דיומא ובמאמרי זהר הק'. ויהי רצון מהשי"ת שמבן שלש עשרה למצות יגיע לבן חמש עשרה לגמרא וכו' וכו' וכפסק תוה"ק והוא וזוגתו שיחיו ירוו ממנו ומכל ב"ב רוב נחת. ולפלא קצת שאינו מזכיר במכתבו אשר הבר מצוה כלל בדרשתו גם דברי תורת החסידות אף שבודאי ידוע לו הכתוב במכתב כ"ק הבעל שם טוב הקדוש אשר בראש השנה תק"ז עלה להיכל המשיח ושאלו אימתי קאתי מר וענה משיח צדקנו לכשיפוצו מעינותיך חוצה היא תורת החסידות וכמבואר בארוכה בשיחת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע צי"ע בשמחת תורה ת"ר צדיק.
