Brooklyn.

Blessing and greeting (this letter is addressed to a woman),

I reply to your letter of 29/7 (the Rebbe writes 7/29, according to the American format). I will mention the name of all those whom you cite, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us.

Concerning the daily recitation of Tehillim*, you will endeavor to have your husband adopt it. He will recite at least one Psalm each day, which will introduce blessing into your home.

You tell me that some are trying to convince your son to bet on horse races. It is quite clear that he must not do so, for nothing could result from it but a financial loss, Heaven forbid.

May Hashem grant that he provide for his needs in a tranquil manner and in conformity with the Will of Hashem.

I wish you a healthy summer and the ability to give good news concerning everything you cited in your letter.
