Greetings and blessing,
I learned with sorrow that you are not in good health. Today, I went to the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, and I mentioned your name, that your state of health may improve and that you may serve Hashem with joy.
The Rambam*, the Tur, and the Shulchan Aruch*, as well as several texts of Chassidus*, commenting on the verse "In all your ways, acknowledge Him," explain that one can also serve Hashem by eating, if one does so in conformity with the Will of Hashem. It is the same for taking a walk and for all of man's activities. It is clear that in all these domains, one must put into practice the injunction: "Serve Hashem with joy."
May Hashem cause that you immediately feel a profound trust in Hashem, Who "heals all flesh and works wonders," Who "nourishes each one with kindness and mercy," especially since we are in Elul* and, as the Alter Rebbe* says in his Likkutei Torah*, at Parshas Reeh, page 32b, whoever desires it can, in these days, go to meet the King, King of kings, HaKadosh Baruch Hu*. He welcomes each person warmly, shows a benevolent countenance, as it is said: "Hashem will cause His Face to shine upon you."

שלום וברכה!
נצטערתי לשמוע אשר מצב בריאותו אינו בשלימות, וכשהייתי היום על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע הזכרתיו להטבת בריאותו ולעבודת השי"ת בשמחה.
וכיון שכבר פסקו הרמב"ם והטור והשו"ע ומובא בכ"מ בחסידות ביאור הכתוב בכל דרכיך דעהו אשר עובדים את השי"ת גם בענין האכילה אם האכילה היא ע"פ תורה וכן בזמן הטיול וכו' ובכל עסקי האדם, הרי מעצמו מובן שגם ע"ז חל הציווי דעבדו את ה' בשמחה.
והשי"ת יצליחו שתומ"י יתחיל בזה בבטחונו חזק להשי"ת הרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות שהוא זן ומפרנס לכל בחסד וברחמים. ובפרט שנמצאים אנו בימי אלול שכלשון רבנו הזקן בלקו"ת פ' ראה דף ל"ב ע"ב הנה ממה"מ הקב"ה רשאין כל מי שרוצה לצאת להקביל פניו והוא מקבל את כולם בספ"י ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם כמ"ש יאר ה' פניו אליך.
