Greetings and blessing,

I received a letter from your young son and he informed me of what happened to your older son. I will mention his name near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, for a speedy recovery.

When you have good news on this subject, I hope you will transmit them to me. You may write to me in the language you handle most easily. Indeed, I lived for several years in Paris and I therefore read French.

In this regard, I would like to point out to you that one remembers Hashem not only when an unfortunate event occurs, but also, and even more strongly, when Hashem grants His protection so that the event does not occur at all or occurs calmly.

The new year approaches and each person wishes, asks Hashem to grant him renewed strength, new means of ensuring his livelihood. One must therefore not fear adopting a new way of life, in conformity with the teachings of our holy Torah.

It is in this manner that one broadens one's material prosperity, for oneself and for all the members of one's family, that one obtains health and true satisfaction from one's children.

May Hashem come to your aid so that, as soon as possible, you may announce good news to me on this subject.

Wishing you a good year,

For the Rebbe Shlita,
