Greetings and blessing,
I read with attention what you write to me about the summer camp of Kfar Chabad*. I was pleased to note that, in the end, you actively participated in its organization. You know the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, according to which "one action is preferable to a thousand complaints," especially in the matter of the education of children, who bring forth fruits and fruits of fruits, for eternity.
Without a doubt, Hashem will keep His promise and He will act "measure for measure," granting you great success in your study and in your own education. Indeed, this is acquired by man throughout his life, as it is said: "the number of years confers wisdom."
For all that, I noted between the lines that the educators and teachers consider the administration of the network (of Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch schools in the Holy Land) as responsible for this activity, for which a very specific function is entrusted to them (but for which they do not personally assume responsibility). Now, I have already written on several occasions to those who participate in the activities of the network, to say that each one of them is personally responsible and therefore personally receives the merit of what is accomplished.
Consequently, those who assume important responsibilities within the network, that is to say, the teachers, truly have a much greater merit. Consequently, their adherence, their motivation, their eagerness in action must also be much greater than that of the members of the administration, who merely support the Torah.
A reflection, even a cursory one, establishes that everything accomplished by man lacks perfection. But sometimes it may seem that the lack is even greater than usual. One must then redouble one's ardor and interest to rectify all of this. And, you know the statement of HaKadosh Baruch Hu* according to which "one comes to the aid of the one who desires to purify himself."
May Hashem cause that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, a year of success in the study of the revealed part of the Torah and of Chassidus*, a year of success in the influence you will exert around you, in particular in the domain of education based on sacred values.
I duly received your request for blessing.
With my blessing,
M. Schneerson,

To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, the Rav Michael (Rav M. Lipsker, of Meknes, Morocco; see, concerning him, letter no. 2879),
Greetings and blessing,
I reply to your letter of Tuesday of Parshas Tavo and to the one that preceded it. I hope that upon receipt of this letter, all will be well and that you will therefore be able to redouble your ardor in your sacred mission, without obstacles, even though the custom in your country goes against the most elementary logic, including that of the intellectual soul and not only that which emanates from the domain of Holiness, since it is precisely at the end of Elul* and in Tishrei* that education based on sacred values is reduced (see, on this subject, letter no. 2879).
If one observes the feelings of the students, as expressed in their letters, and if one refers to the correspondence of Rav Sh. M. (Rav Shlomo Matusof, of Casablanca), one can do nothing. But, as you know, "one is exempt from acting in a case of force majeure. For all that, one is not considered as if one had actually acted." In the end, therefore, this time was not devoted to the students.
Obviously, my aim is not to moralize, but to incite a further reflection. Perhaps the moment has finally come to remedy, at least partially, this situation.
I hope, even though I have not pointed it out to you, that the students going to the Holy Land are told and reminded that they must, once there, contact the Chassidim* and the Chabad* institutions, in particular the Yeshivah* of Lod, which has many Sephardic students.
In addition to the letters that are surely given to the students, it would be good for you to write yourself to the administration of the Yeshivah* in Lod, to describe the character of those who go up to the Holy Land and whom you previously followed.
Concerning the building and Beis Rivka*, Rav B. E. G. (Rav Binyamin Eliyahu Gorodetsky, director of the refugee aid bureau in Paris) will be here in a few days and I will ask him the reasons for this refusal, which you yourself do not communicate to me.
Concerning your visit to the United States, you tell me that you will be able to find a replacement for the entire time you spend here. Your letter seems to indicate that expenses are also not an obstacle. If this is indeed the case, you will begin the steps, but without agitation. One must ask when the most propitious moment is, 19 Kislev* (the festival of the liberation of the Alter Rebbe*) or 10 Shevat* (the hilula* of the Previous Rebbe). Perhaps the success of your steps will give you an indication on this subject.
On the occasion of the new year, which approaches, for us and for all Israel, for good and for blessing, I send my wishes to you, as well as to all of yours, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually.
With my blessing,
