Greetings and blessing,
I reply to your letter of the conclusion of Shabbos* and to the request for blessing. I was pleased to learn of your actions to disseminate the teachings of Chabad*.
You tell me that you do not have the courage to intervene in other circles. You will consult the Likkutei Torah*, at the beginning of Parshas Vayikra, which explains that man here below, putting into practice the Torah and the mitzvos*, is the emissary of the Heavenly Man. There is therefore no reason for him to lack courage in this matter.
Consequently, you have been appointed as a lecturer and you must therefore keep this function. Even more, you will endeavor to address yourself not only to those who are observant, but also to those who, for the time being, do not yet know that they are. Once again, you have the necessary strength and courage to convince them, in the appropriate manner.
I am surprised that you say nothing about the actions of your wife to strengthen and disseminate Jewish practice. You will complete all of this in your next correspondence.
On the occasion of the new year, which approaches, for us and for all Israel, for good and for blessing, I send my wishes to you, as well as to all of yours, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually.

שלום וברכה!
במענה על מכתבו ממוצש"ק והפ"נ. נהניתי לקרות בו מפעולותיו בהפצת תורת חב"ד.
ומ"ש שאינו מוצא בעצמו אומץ לפעול גם בעוד חוגים... וכו', יעויין בלקוטי תורה ריש פ' ויקרא אשר בעניני תורה ומצות אדם התחתון הוא שלוחו של אדם העליון עיי"ש, ובמילא אין מובן איך שיחסר האומץ בכגון דא.
ובהתאם לזה הרי כיון שנתמנה למרצה ימשיך בזה ואדרבה ישתדל לדבר לא רק לפני הדתיים אלא גם לאלו שאינם יודעים לעת עתה שדתיים הם, וכנ"ל יש לו כחות ואומץ לפעול עליהם באופן המתאים.
לפלא שאינו מזכיר דבר ע"ד פעולות זוגתו תחי' בהחזקת היהדות ובהפצתה, ובטח ימלאו במכתבם הבא.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולכל אשר לו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות.
