Greetings and blessing,

You tell me that when you affirm that the education of girls must be based on the Torah and not only on Tradition, people respond that this is forbidden.

Now, concrete practice in these recent generations proves that such a conception must be rejected, that it is even out of the question. Whoever observes the situation sees the harm and damage that have resulted from it, especially recently.

Whoever consults the Shulchan Aruch*, without even having a deep understanding of it, but only by translating its words, knows that the Halachah* is as follows, according to the Laws of the Study of Torah of the Alter Rebbe*, at the end of the first chapter, whose references you will consult:

"Women are required to learn the laws they need — for example, those of Niddah*, of ritual immersion, of the salting of meat, the prohibition of being alone with a man, as well as all the Positive Commandments that are not bound to a fixed time, all the Negative Commandments, of the Torah or of the Sages, that they are required to put into practice.

In the era of the Sages, a master would explain the common and habitual laws that everyone was required to know, in a language that the women understood."
