I greet you and bless you,

Your letter from Chol HaMoed* Sukkos and what it contained has duly reached me. As per your request, I have forwarded to the periodical HaKriah VeHaKedushah* what was intended for it. Enclosed you will find two receipts and three letters from the committee for the Sefer Torah.

I thank you for what has been done and ask you to continue your efforts in the future. I remind you that, in your own opinion, it would be possible to obtain the financial participation of Mr. Victor for the writing of the Sefer Torah, once you had a letter from the committee.

More than a hundred letters were sent to the synagogues of your city regarding the Tehillim committees. However, only two synagogues, Bnei Tzion and Lew Synagogue, responded. Perhaps it would be good to conduct a campaign in the press on this matter.

It would be wise to publicize, also through the press, the release of the calendar issued by Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch, an excerpt of which is enclosed. Such an article has appeared and will appear again in the Morgen Journal* [1]. We will send you a specimen of this calendar, and Rabbi M.L. [2] will surely convey to you everything that was said to him on this matter.

Can you send me four copies of the newspaper in which an article about Machane Yisrael appeared?

You have no doubt tried, as you promised me, to re-establish the Mesibos Shabbos* [3], and we await good news from you on this matter. With the help of Hashem, you will also organize Mesibos Shabbos for young girls.

There are no doubt orphanages in Chicago. Can you convey to us the following information: their name and address, the number of orphans there, the names of the directors, and the spirit of these institutions? I thank you in advance.

תודה על העבר ובטח ישתדל גם על להבא. ובודאי זוכר השערתו, שבהגיע מכ' ועד הס"ת ישתתף מר וויקטאר בהוצאת כתיבת הס"ת.

מכל המכ' ע"ד תהלים ששלחו לביהכנ"ס דמחנו - יותר ממאה - לא נתקבל מענה אלא מבהכ"נ א) בני ציון, ב) לו[...] סינאגאג. ואולי כדאי לעשות תעמולה בעתונם עד"ז.

מהראוי להדפיס בעתונם ע"ד הלוח שהו"ל ע"י המל"ח מעין הנאטיץ המוסג"פ.

ועד"ז נדפס כבר ויודפס עוה"פ במארגען זשורנאל. נשלח לו לוח לדוגמא. כן בטח ימסור הרמ"ל שי' כל המדובר עמו בענין זה.

בבקשה לשלוח ד' עקז' מהעתון שבו הי' המאמר ע"ד מחנה ישראל.

בטח התחיל כבר, כהבטחתו, להתענין בחדוש "המסיבות שבת", ומחכים אנו לבשורותיו הטובות בזה.

ובודאי ישתדל בע"ה שתתקים גם "מסיבות שבת" לנערות.
