I am particularly surprised not to have had news from you. I am even more astonished that you were not seen here during the entire month of Tishrei*.

Certainly, you are particularly absorbed by your obligations to earn your livelihood. Nevertheless, one must know and not forget that one's sustenance is decided on high, on Rosh Hashanah* and Yom Kippur*. Moreover, the material resources of a Jew depend on his spiritual resources. And, by being among the Chassidim*, one refreshes oneself!

לפלא גדול שלא נשמע ממנו דבר ולפלא עוד יותר גדול שבכל חדש תשרי לא ראו אותו פה, ושעד כמה שלא יהי' מושקע בענין של פרנסה צריך לדעת ולא לשכוח, שפרנסה נקבע בזמני ר"ה ויוהכ"פ למעלה , ופרנסת איש יהודי בגשמיות תלוי בפרנסה ברוחניות וכאשר באים בין חסידים פרישט מען זיך אפ.
