I reply to your letter of Tuesday of Parshas Lech Lecha, in which you tell me that an opportunity presents itself to transfer your business to a more central location in the city. Nevertheless, this will require you to incur debts.

It seems to me that this initiative is, nevertheless, justified. In this way, you will widen the receptacles enabling you to ensure your material livelihood. Thus will be fulfilled the terms of the verse: "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it." However, you must also widen the channels conveying abundance, by the fact that all those who live from this business will fulfill the mitzvos* in the best manner, each according to his situation and abilities.

You will explain to each one how important it is to fulfill the mitzvah* in the best manner. This is always so, and it is particularly the case in the present situation. May Hashem cause that you earn your livelihood peacefully, in the appropriate manner, and with abundance.

במענה על מכתבה מג' לך, בו שואלת באשר יש אפשריות עתה להעביר בית מסחרה לפנה מרכזית יותר, אבל עי"ז תכנס בעוד חובות.

לדעתי בכל זה כדאי הדבר, בכדי להרחיב הכלים של פרנסה, ואז מתקיים הכתוב הרחב פיך ואמלאהו. ובלבד שירחיבו ג"כ את צנורי הפרנסה, היינו בהענינים דהידור במצות, בהנהגת כל אלו התלוים בפרנסה של בית מסחר זה, כל אחד לפי מצבו ובענינו.

ובודאי תסביר לכל אחד ואחת מהם את גודל הענין דהידור במצות בלאו הכי, ובפרט במצבם עתה. והשי"ת יצליחה לפרנסה במנוחה ובכשרות ובהרחבה.
