Greetings and blessing,

I received with pleasure your letter, in which you describe the organization of studies (in the Lubavitch school of Casablanca) for this new school year. No doubt you are striving to develop the students, boys and girls, quantitatively and qualitatively, in particular regarding their conduct. When one opens the equivalent of the point of a needle, Hashem opens like the entrance of the Sanctuary.

You allude in your letter to your intervention so that the Mikveh* be filled with rainwater and not with running water. I was pleased by this. No doubt you will ensure that everything be for the best, for this is the attitude that must be adopted regarding a Mikveh*. You will consult the Mishnah* and its commentaries at the end of tractate Yoma*, according to which the deliverance of Israel depends on its purity. You will also see the Baraisa* at the end of tractate Sotah*, which says that "purity leads... (to holiness, and holiness to prophecy) toward the prophet Eliyahu*."

Is it possible to establish that the students study the laws necessary for daily conduct (see, on this subject, letters no. 2941, 3083, 3091, 3105, 3106, 3119, 3158, 3165, 3199, 3216, 3231, 3263, and 3313)? And can the same be done in Meknes and in the other locations?

נהניתי לקבלת מכתבו בו כותב אודות סדר הלימודים בזמן החדש, ובודאי משתדל להרבות הן כמות התלמידים ותלמידות והן האיכות של התלמידים-ות שלהם ובפרט בהנוגע להנהגתם. וכשפותחים כחודה של מחט פותח השי"ת כפתחו של אולם.

נהניתי ממה שמרמז במכתבו שהתדבר לשנות את המקוה שתהי' ע"י השקה דמי גשמים ולא ח"ו של הוואדא פראוואד. ובודאי יעשו כל ההידורים האפשרים, וכידוע אשר כן הוא ההנהגה בהנוגע למקואות. ולהעיר ממשנה ומפרשי המשנה סוף יומא, אשר בטהרה תלוי' גאולתם של ישראל ועיין ג"כ ברייתא סוף סוטה, טהרה מביאה כו' לידי אלי' הנביא.

האפשר להנהיג שכל התלמידים והתלמידות ילמדו דינים בהלכות הצריכות בחיי היום-יומים? וכן במעקנעס ובכל המקומות?
