To the group of women for family purity, in Philadelphia, may Hashem grant you long life,
I bless you and greet you,
I learned of the creation of your group with pleasure and joy. You have arranged that it be possible to be a member and especially to act concretely, by explaining the immense importance of observing family purity and by ensuring that the Mikveh* one goes to is proper in every respect.
You know the explanation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, which he related in the name of his holy ancestors, whose merit will protect us, according to which it is certain that serious dissemination has a concrete effect (on this subject, see, for example, letter no. 1876) and that a single concrete action is preferable to a thousand complaints (on this subject, see, for example, letter no. 2945).
I hope to have your good news, to learn that the circle of participants in your group is developing and expanding, that, in general, your activity is fruitful.
Moreover, we are now entering the month of Kislev*, in which the festival of Chanukah* falls. Our Sages relate that in that era, due to the persecutions, the use of the Mikveh* was forbidden to the Jews. Yet Hashem performed a miracle and the Jewish women were able, despite this, to go there and to give birth to an upright and blessed generation.
May Hashem cause it to be so, "in those days, at this time" (according to the text of the blessing of Shehecheyanu*, recited at Chanukah*), so that your activity meet with considerable success in all domains.
With my blessing,
