To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Shneur Zalman (Rav Sh. Z. Vilenkin),
Greetings and blessing,
I have received your request for a blessing, which I will read at a propitious moment near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us.
No doubt you will all gather for the luminous day of 19 Kislev*, the festival of liberation (of the Alter Rebbe* from the Czarist prisons), which is, in the expression of the Rebbe Rashab*, the day of our deliverance and the freedom of our souls. You will do so again during the days of Chanukah*, which follow and are connected to it. Indeed, the accusation and the deliverance (of 19 Kislev*) concerned the revelation and propagation outward of the luminary of the Torah* (of Chassidus*). Now, the miracle of Chanukah* and its lights also concern "pure olive oil, crushed for the luminary." And the Chassidic* discourse of Tetzaveh* defines precisely this term "luminary."
May Hashem grant that each of us assume the mission incumbent upon him by spreading the wellsprings (of Chassidus*) outward, which prepares and introduces, for the entire Jewish people, the true and complete Redemption, through our righteous Moshiach*.

מאשר הנני קבלת הפ"נ אשר אקראהו בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע. ובודאי יתועדו כולם יחד ביום הבהיר י"ט כסלו חג הגאולה וכלשון כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע, יום גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו, וימשיכו בזה גם בימי חנוכה הבע"ל ומישך שייכי אהדדי כי הרי הקטרוג והגאולה הי' על הגילוי והתפשטות מאור שבתורה חוצה ונס חנוכה, והנרות הי' ג"כ בשמן זית זך כתית למאור דוקא, וכמבואר בדרוש תצוה דיוק הלשון למאור.
והשי"ת יזכה את כאו"א מאתנו למלאות תפקידו בהפצת המעינות חוצה שזהו הכנה והקדמה לזכות בתוך כלל ישראל לגאולה השלימה והאמיתית ע"י משיח צדקנו.
