Greetings and blessing,

I reply to your letter and to the request for a blessing of the fast of the tenth month (the 10th of Teves*), which will soon be transformed into joy and gladness.

I am pleased with what you tell me regarding the Chassidic* farbrengen*. Concrete action was discussed and no doubt you will continue to do so in the future.

This is also the answer to the question you pose. You do not know what to do in the face of those who refuse to hear anything and persist in their obstinacy. The solution is the following: one must increase the light (act positively, without confronting the opposition).

Nevertheless, after Petersburg (after the liberation of the Alter Rebbe*), the light enters into vessels and into words (it is henceforth possible to formulate it). One must therefore speak many times, and ultimately, this great light will dispel much darkness.

May Hashem grant that this be so, in goodness and mercy, very soon.

הנה נהניתי ממ"ש אודות ההתועדות, ואשר מדברים על ענינים של פועל, ובודאי גם על להבא יעשה כזה, וזוהי גם המענה לשאלתו שאינו יודע מה לעשות עוד בהנוגע לאלו שלא שמעו עד עתה ועומדים בעקשנות, שהעצה לזה הוא ריבוי אור, אלא שלאחרי פעטערסבורג נתלבש האור בכלים ואותיות ובמילא כשידברו עוד כ"פ הרי סו"ס הריבוי אור ידחה רוב החשך, ויתן השי"ת שיהי' זה בחסד וברחמים ובקרוב ממש.
