and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessing,

I reply to your letter of 4 Teves* and also to the telegram I received a few days ago (both referred to the murder by Arab terrorists of Yisrael Aryeh Dabroskin, who, coming from the Yeshivah* of Lod, was on his way to teach Chassidus* at the vocational school of Kfar Chabad*; see also letter no. 3161). I will mention each man and each woman you cite at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. Without doubt, he will invoke the profound Divine mercy, for "He neither slumbers nor sleeps, the Guardian of Yisrael*," in the face of all situations that are not good. May Hashem grant that each of them know only good — a good that is visible and tangible.

The unity, "like one man," of the inhabitants of the Kfar*, to whom Hashem will grant long life, will stand as a wall to prevent the incursion of any negative element, material and spiritual. It is said (regarding the episode of the Tower of Babel) that "they are one people, having one language; nothing can therefore stand in their way." How much more is this the case here, especially when this is so in depth (for a positive purpose), regarding what pertains to holiness, and with the increased success that our holy masters, whose merit will protect us, grant.

במענה על מכתבו מד' טבת וכן המברק שקבלתי זה איזה ימים, הנה אזכיר את כולם כל אחד ואחת מהם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שבודאי יעורר ר"ר אשר שומר ישראל שלא ינום ולא יישן ישמרם מכל ענינים הלא טובים ח"ו, ואך טוב וחסד ימצא את כאו"א מהם בטוב הנראה והנגלה.

ואחדות של תושבי הכפר ד' עליהם יחיו, כאיש אחד, תעמוד כחומה לבל יוכל לחדור לשם כל ענין בלתי רצוי ח"ו בגשמיות וברוחניות, ובמכש"כ וק"ו ממ"ש אשר עם אחד ושפה אחת לכולם לא יבצר מהם כל, עאכו"כ כשיהי' בפנימיות ומצד הקדושה ובתוספת הצלחה הנשפעת ע"י נשיאינו הק' זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
