To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Greetings and blessing,
I learned with pleasure that a monthly gathering is organized near your home. This strengthens the study of Chassidus*. No doubt the laws that are necessary for daily life (see, on this subject, letter no. 3048) are also studied there, in a group or individually, so that one has the necessary knowledge, as experience shows the importance thereof.
It would be good, at first, to study these laws without specifying their references. These will be introduced the second or third time. Indeed, the essential thing is "to fear Hashem and to observe the Mitzvos*, for this is the entire purpose of man."

הנה מהנכון ללמוד מראש לדעת את הדינים מבלי המקורים עליהם, ורק בפעם השני או השלישי להוסיף גם את זה, כיון שעיקר הכל הר"ז - את האלקים ירא ואת מצותיו שמור כי זה כל האדם...
