To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Chaim Tzvi (Rav H. Tz. Krieger; see, on this subject, letter no. 151),

Greetings and blessing,

You have informed me that you are moving into a new house.

May Hashem grant that it be at a good and fruitful time, that you change your Mazal* by multiplying good and blessing.

You have, in particular, the merit of devoting yourself to young girls — Banos*, of the same etymology as Binyan*, meaning building — in order to enable them to build a Jewish home. Indeed, the wife is also called "my house."

In our days and in ours, the positive outcome promised to the congregation of Yisrael* will be fulfilled — compared, by the Midrash* Eichah Rabbah*, to a woman whose husband has gone far away, with the intention of returning, "as in the days of your going out of Egypt." There, "each one came with his house, each one departed with his house" (see letters no. 3505 and 3507) — that is, with the stones and beams that constitute it, according to tractate Taanis* 11a, in accordance with the teaching of our Sages in the Midrash* Tehillim*, at the end of chapter 73 — so that it be rebuilt in the land of life, the inheritance of the deer (in Hebrew "Tzvi" — the first name of the recipient of this letter).

But for this, one must be "fatter than milk and sweeter than honey," according to tractate Chagigah* 13a. It is therefore necessary to study the inner teaching of the Torah*, through which "one will leave exile in mercy," according to the Zohar*, Volume 3, page 124b, which says: "When it will be revealed here below, in the last generation, at the end of days, through it 'you shall proclaim liberty throughout the land,'" as explained in the Tikkunei Zohar*, at the end of Tikkun* 6.

ובימיו ובימינו תקוים תקנת כנס"י - העגונה כאשה שהלך בעלה למדינת הים ודעתו לחזור (איכ"ר), כימי צאתך מארץ מצרים, איש וביתו באו ואיש וביתו עלו, גם אבני ביתו וקורות ביתו (תענית יא, א וע"פ משרז"ל במדרש תהלים סו"ס עג), שיקבעו בארץ החיים נחלת צבי, אלא שצ"ל שמנים מחלב ומתוקים מדבש (חגיגה יג, א)5, לימוד פנימיות התורה, אשר בי' יפקון מן גלותא ברחמי (זח"ג קכד, ב), כד אתגליא לתתא בדרא בתראה בסוף יומיא ובגיני' וקראתם דרור בארץ (ת"ז ת"ו ובסופו).
