Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of the 17th of Teves*, in which you tell me that you do not understand what I wrote in my previous correspondence (see letter no. 2996). You think, indeed, that your sadness stems from the fact that you study the Derech Chaim* (of the Mitteler Rebbe*).

You should consult, on this subject, chapters 26, 27, and 31 of the Tanya*, as well as the Hayom Yom* at the date of 23 Sivan*. You will multiply your efforts, for yourself and toward others, particularly your friends, within the Yeshivah* of our holy master, whose merit protects us.

Thus, Hashem* will grant you the success of obtaining the light for yourself as well.

במענה על מכתבו מי"ז טבת, בו כותב שאיננו מבין מה שכתבתי במכתבי הקודם כיון שהעצבות בא לפי דעתו מהלימוד בספר דרך חיים וכו', הנה יעויין בזה בתניא פרק כ"ו כ"ז ול"א ובהיום יום לכ"ג סיון, וירבה בעבודה בפועל בעצמו ובהשפעה על זולתו ובפרט בחבריו בישיבת נשיאינו הק' זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, והשי"ת יצליחו להוסיף אור גם בהנוגע לעצמו.
