To the youth leaders of the Chabad* association in our Holy Land*, the Tel Aviv* group, whom Hashem* grant long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of the 9th of Teves*, together with what was enclosed. I am pleased with what you report to me, briefly, of the activities you conducted during the month of Kislev*, in particular on the luminous day of 19 Kislev*, the festival of our deliverance and the liberation of our souls. I await the continuation of your report, as you specify in your letter.

May Hashem* cause the good resolutions that were adopted to continue in a concrete manner, for the deed is essential. Even though you do not specify it, one of these resolutions is surely that of continuing the activity following the gatherings of 19 Kislev*.

You have finally taken steps to give the Bitaon* (until then, the designation "internal bulletin" appeared on the cover of the Bitaon* Chabad*, organ of the Chabad* youth; see letter no. 3059) an official character, and I am pleased. I do not know what these steps consist of, and if one can apply to them the rule that "the candle that illuminates one person illuminates a hundred," one will extend the effect to the Conversations with the Youth, published in the Holy Land* (see letters no. 2826 and 2834).

I have good hope that you will finally embark upon the publishing work, even though the discussion on this subject has been going on for several months already. The letter from the Chassid*, Rav* Avraham Pariz*, seems to indicate that from time to time new difficulties arise. Nevertheless, it is stated that "He has set a limit to the darkness," and the same applies to the problems of the Holy Land*. There is a limit to what prevents the dissemination of the wellsprings* (of Chassidus*) there. May Hashem* cause this to happen at the earliest.

In your report, you mention only the city of Ra'anana*. It seems to me that there is located the institution of Dr. Zimmermann, who visited me here. There is also a man there by the name of Mr. Epstein, who was here on Shemini Atzeres* and Simchas Torah*. It would be good to visit them when you return there. This contact will surely have positive effects.

It is surprising that regarding the schools of the network (Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch, in the Holy Land*), you mention only Kfar Saba*. But perhaps the deficiency is only in what you write, and not in the concrete activity.

For the time being, I have not yet received the letter from Bat Yam*.

May Hashem* grant you supernatural success in your sacred mission, and may it strengthen your motivation and your alacrity, in accordance with the needs of the era.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מט' טבת עם המצורפים אליו, ונהניתי ממ"ש, עכ"פ בקצרה, אודות פעולותיהם בחדש כסלו, ובפרט ביום הבהיר י"ט כסלו חג גאולתינו ופדות נפשינו, ואחכה להמשך הדו"ח כפי שמזכירים במכתבם, ויה"ר אשר ההחלטות הטובות שנתקבלו תומשכנה בפ"מ, כי הרי המעשה הוא העיקר, אף שאין מזכירים עד"ז - בודאי אחת החלטות האלו שהפגישות די"ט כסלו תומשך פעולתם לאח"ז.

נהניתי ממ"ש שסו"ס ישתדלו שהבטאון יקבל רשיון רשמי, וכיון שאינני יודע אופן ההשתדלות בזה - באם הוא בגדר נר לאחד נר למאה - יש לצרף לההשתדלות גם הוצאת השמועסין באה"ק ת"ו. שתקותי שסו"ס יתחילו בהוצאה לאור, אע"פ שמתנהג השקו"ט בזה זה כמה חדשים (אף שכנראה ממכתב הרה"ח הר"א שי' פאריז מתחדשים מניעות ועכובים מזמן לזמן, אבל הרי כבר נאמר קץ שם לחשך ובמילא גם מניעות ועכובים באה"ק ת"ו להפצת המעיינות חוצה ג"כ גבול להם), ויה"ר שיהי' בהקדם האפשרי.

בהדו"ח מזכירים רק רעננה, וכמדומה שנמצא שם מוסד ד"ר צימרמן שי' שביקר כאן, וכן נמצא שם אחד ושמו מר עפשטיין שהי' פה בימי השמע"צ ושמח"ת - וכדאי הי' לבקרם כשיהי' שם בפעם הבאה. וקירוב דעת זה בטח יביא לפעולות טובות.

לפלא שמוסד - הרשת מזכירים רק כפר סבא, ואולי אין זה אלא חסרון בכתיבה ולא בהפועל.

המכתב מבת-ים לע"ע לא נתקבל. והשי"ת יצליחם בעבודתם בקדש למעלה מן הטבע, ושבהצלחה זו תהי' ג"כ התוספת ברצון ובמרץ מתאים לדרישת השעה.
