I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letters and the request for blessing, which will be read at a propitious moment at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us.

You have surely seen excerpts of the letter I addressed to several Chassidim*, concerning what is stated in several Chassidic discourses* about the domains and the Mitzvah* for which one should be particularly scrupulous (see Letter #2990). Such a Mitzvah* is the gateway through which a person receives elevation.

As for you, this gateway is your work in the field of education based on sacred values. The role that Divine Providence* has entrusted to you until now establishes this. You must therefore be in good health (in order to be able to teach) — not only physical but also moral — as the laws of Torah* study affirm clearly and decisively. You should also consult these same laws of the Alter Rebbe*.

You shall therefore preserve your physical health, in the literal sense, without subterfuge. In this way, you will have the strength to carry out your work as it should be. You will thus increase blessing and success for yourself and for all the members of your family. And you will announce good tidings to me regarding all that has been said.

נתקבלו מכתביו פ"נ, אשר יקראו בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע. ובטח ראה קטעים ממכתבי לכמה מאנ"ש, בהמדובר בכ"מ בדא"ח אודות הענינים והמצוה שצ"ל זהיר בהם טפי, כי זהו השער של פב"פ בהעלאה מלמטל"מ ומלמעלה למטה. וכיון שהשער שלו הוא עבודה בשדה החינוך על טהרת הקדש, כנראה מהנהגת ההשגחה פרטית עמו עד עתה, ולזה צ"ל בריא לא רק בנשמה אלא גם בגוף, וכמבואר הפסק בזה בהנחה ברורה ופשוטה בהלכות ת"ת, ועיין ג"כ לרבנו הזקן בהלכות אלו, הרי עליו לשמור על בריאותו בגשמיות כפשוטו בלי ערמומיות, ובמילא יהי' לו כח לעשות מלאכתו כדבעי, ובמילא תתרבה הברכה וההצלחה בהנוגע לו ולכל ב"ב - שיחיו - ויבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל.
