I respond to your undated letter. You tell me that your current professional activity consists of pouring concrete, and you ask me what you should do subsequently.

My opinion has been known for a very long time. All those who are fit to engage in agricultural work at Kfar Chabad* should strive, ultimately, to adopt it. Even if, at first, one cannot derive one's sustenance from this work and must, at the same time, have another occupation, one can nevertheless set as one's objective to engage in agricultural work, such as growing vegetables or raising poultry. Naturally, all of this also depends on your state of health.

May Hashem inspire you with the right idea, so that you decide what is best for you — materially and spiritually at once.

במענה על מכתבו -בלי הוראת זמן הכתיבה -בו כותב שעובד עתה

ביציקת בטון ושואל דעתי בנוגע להסתדרות שלו להבא.

ידועה דעתי מכבר ,שכל אלו המתאימים לחקלאות בכפר חב״ד

צריכים להשתדל סוף כל סוף להסתדר בזה ,ואפילו אם בתקופה

הראשונה לא יוכלו לקבל את מלוא הפרנסה מזה ויצטרכו גם פרנסה

מעיסוקים צדדיים ,אבל הכיוון והשאיפה צריכים להיות להסתדר

בחקלאות על כל פנים בירקות ,לול וכדומה ,ברור שזה קשור עם מצב

הבריאות וכיו״ב ,והשי״ת יתן לו את הדעה הנכונה להחליט כפי שעדיף

לו בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
