To the directors of Kfar Chabad*,
may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter from the day of the Hilulah* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, as well as those that preceded it. I want to be certain that at least in the future, you will write to me describing the various Chassidic farbrengens* held at Kfar Chabad*, with the appropriate detail.

I will direct this remark in particular to what you write about the celebration of 19 Kislev*, of which you give me a brief description, whereas it should have been much more detailed. You will complete what needs to be completed at the next opportunity, if the sending of the recording of this gathering is delayed, or if it is not complete. After the recent gathering of the youth of the Chabad* association at the Kfar, the content of the addresses was sent to me immediately.

According to what some have written to me, there is concern that the orchards may serve as hiding places (for Arab terrorists, as was the case in the murder discussed in Letter #3161). It is necessary to reflect and consider whether such an apprehension is justified and whether one should approach the relevant authorities. Moreover, if the exchange with the Mehadrin* lands (see Letters #1939, 1978, and 2242) is delayed, orchards could be planted there as well (the Mehadrin orchard company had a tract of land adjacent to Kfar Chabad that had not yet been developed into orchards; negotiations had been ongoing to use this land for building more houses for the Kfar, as indicated in Letter #3060; the Rebbe notes that if there is a delay, Mehadrin could develop orchards on this land). And will they agree to strengthen the guard in proportion to the orchards that will be added? The doubt remains on this point.

I send you my blessing for success in your sacred mission — that of strengthening and developing Kfar Chabad* so that it becomes a Sanctuary for Hashem here below. For this, both the spiritual and the material must be sound. You will therefore experience success in putting into practice the Will of Hashem, through the vessel that contains His blessing: peace, unity, and attachment to our master, by putting into practice his desire and his will within this Kfar, as explained, of course, in the second chapter of the Tanya*.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם מיום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע וכן הקודמים לו. ורצוני להיות בטוח שעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא יכתבו ע"ד התועדויות השונות אשר בכפר חב"ד וגם בפרטיות המתאימה.

וזאת להעיר וביחוד בהנוגע למה שכותבים אודות חגיגת י"ט כסלו שקצרו במקום שאמרו להאריך ביותר... ובודאי בהזדמנות הבאה ימלאו גם על דבר זה, אם יתעכב שילוח ההקלטה של ההתועדות או אם נקלטה שלא במילואו, והרי בכנוס צעירי אגו"ח שהי' לפני זמן בהכפר שלחו תיכף לאחר הכינוס את הנאומים וכו'...

ע"פ המכתבים שקבלתי מאחדים וחוששים שמציאות פרדסים נותן מקום למחבא וכו', צריכים היו להתבונן ולעיין אם יש מקום לחשש זה ולדבר בכיוון למה שיודעו עם המשרדים המתאימים, ובפרט שאם יתעכב דבר החליפין עם קרקע מהדרין הנשאר יש מקום לומר שינטעו שם פרדסים ג"כ, ואם יסכימו להרבות בשמירה מתאים לההוספה בפרדסים ספק הוא.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתם בקדש לחזק ולפתח כפר חב"ד שיהי' דירה לו ית' בתחתונים, שלזה צריך געזונטע רוחניות און געזונטע גשמיות וחפץ ה' בידם יצליח, ע"י הכלי המחזיק ברכתו של הקב"ה השלום והאחדות והתקשרות לנשיאנו, ע"י מילוי כוונתו ורצונו בכפר זה וכמובן ע"פ המבואר בתניא פרק ב'.

יש מקום : ר"ל, שלחברת הפרדסים מהדרין יש קרקע הסמוכה לכפר חב"ד ושייכת להם ועדיין לא נטועה בפרדסים, ודנים זה משך זמן על קבלת חלקת הקרקע הזאת עבור בניית בתים נוספים לכפר-חב"ד (ראה גם לעיל אגרת ג'ס), ואם תתעכב תוכנית זאת יש מקום שחברת מהדרין תיטע שם פרדסים.
