Greetings and blessings,
You ask me why I did not cite (in letter no. 2994) the Chovos HaLevavos* and the Kuzari* regarding the education of girls (who could therefore presumably dispense with knowledge of these works).
This is because the young women of our era will have great difficulty grasping the content of these books, if presented to them as-is. Everything therefore depends on the manner in which it is explained, and quite often, this presentation is even essential.
Obviously, the role of the teacher is more important than the source from which the teaching is drawn.
