To the teachers, men and women, of the Beis Rivkah* school in Kfar Chabad*,

may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 27 Elul. I have good hope that you will redouble your zeal, as you write, in order to educate the students of your institution, so that even when a student leaves it, the influence can be observed, in the spirit of the Tradition of Israel*, as befits Jewish young women. And nothing stands in the way of the will.

Moreover, we find ourselves in a period of which it is said: "Seek Hashem when He can be found. Call upon Him when He is close." At such a time, every request for help addressed to Hashem, every prayer, is better received and more effective. May Hashem grant that you soon share good tidings of all this with me.

I send to each and every one of you my blessing that you be definitively sealed for a good year, and that you enjoy considerable success in your work, which is a sacred mission — that of pure and holy education. In this way, you will also fulfill your deepest mission, in the words of the Mishnah*: "I was created to serve my Creator."

במענה על מכתבם מכ"ז אלול... תקותי חזקה אשר כמו שכותבים יוסיפו אומץ בחינוך תלמידות המוסד עד אשר גם מחוץ לכותליו תהי' ניכרת השפעתו הטובה ברוח ישראל סבא, כמתאים לבנות ישראל, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, ובפרט שנמצאים אנו בימים אשר עליהם נאמר דרשו ה' בהמצאו קראוהו בהיותו קרוב , אשר אז כל בקשת עזר מהשם יתברך ותפלה, מתקבלת יותר ופועלת פעולתה, ויהי רצון אשר יבשרו טוב בכל האמור בזה בקרוב.

בברכת חתימה וגמר חתימה טובה לכל אחד ואחת מהם ולהצלחה מופלגה

במלאכתם מלאכת שמים הוא ענין החינוך הטהור והקדוש, אשר על ידי זה ממלאים גם כן תפקידם הפנימי, וכלשון המשנה, אני נבראתי לשמש את קוני.
