Greetings and blessings,
I have received your request for a speedy recovery and good health, through the intermediary of Rav Yehuda Yochanan Safranai (see the preceding letter). Your name will be mentioned at a propitious moment at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe [the Frierdiker Rebbe*], whose merit protects us, the leader of Israel*.
Blessing is compared to rain, and indeed, our Sages speak of "rains of blessing." You must therefore, for your part, prepare yourself to be a receptacle to absorb this blessing. To this end, you will intensify your study of our Torah*, the Torah* of life, and your practice of mitzvos*. Likewise, you will influence your surroundings in this direction.
Moreover, it is always necessary to follow the natural pathways. You should therefore consult a specialist physician once more and follow his advice. "He Who heals all flesh and performs wonders" will inspire the right counsel in this physician, who will guide you. I await good news regarding all of this.
It would be good to have your tefillin* checked, as well as those of your father.

ע"י הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ מו"ה יהודה יוחנן שי' ספרנאי נמסרה לי בקשתו לרפואה קרובה ולבריאות, ובעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל. וכיון שברכה היא כמו גשם, וכלשון רז"ל גשמי ברכה, הרי עליו מצדו להכין את עצמו להיות כלי לקבלה, והוא על ידי הוספה בלימוד תורתנו תורת חיים וקיום מצותי' והשפעה גם על הסביבה בכיוון זה. והנה לכל דבר צריכה להיות אחיזה גם בדרכי הטבע, ולכן ישאל מחדש חוות דעת רופא מומחה במקצוע זה וכהוראתו יעשה, והרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות יתן להרופא הרעיון הנכון איך לייעצו.
ואחכה לבשורה טובה בכל האמור לעיל.
