To the members of the synagogue on Lombard Street in Dublin, and its director, Mr. Tzvi Mazlin,
may Hashem grant you long life,
Greetings and blessings,
I have learned, through the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Shalom Mendel Kalmenson, the shochet*, the good news that your synagogue has instituted the practice of the earliest Sages — the daily recitation of Tehillim*, according to the monthly division.
Fortunate is your portion! There are no words to express what a considerable merit this is. Numerous books establish this, as does the letter of the Rebbe Rayatz* [the Frierdiker Rebbe*], whose merit protects us. A portion of that letter is printed at the end of the Tehillim* Ohel Yosef Yitzchak.
As a gift, I am sending you, under separate cover, ten copies of these Tehillim* Ohel Yosef Yitzchak. You will surely confirm their receipt.
With my blessing that you ascend from one level to the next, and that your synagogue be a true house of prayer, in accordance with His Will, blessed be He.
With my respects, as befitting,
The secretary,
