Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the eve of Rosh Hashanah*, which for some reason has only just reached me. No doubt you have received my letters wishing you a good year.

You mention my visiting the Holy Land. For various reasons, this is not yet possible. It has already been said, for every era, that "Hashem made everything come about beautifully in its time."

Due to the sanctity of the festival (of Sukkos*, this letter being written during Chol HaMoed*), I am abbreviating this letter, and you will please excuse me.
