Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter from Chol HaMoed Sukkos*. In such a situation, one must pronounce many words of Torah* and prayer, invest one's efforts in education or in similar domains, for which the perspiration that results from the mitzvah* is necessary.
Needless to say, all of this must be done with joy, placing one's full trust in Hashem, as it is stated: "Serve Hashem with joy." And you know the response of the Tzemach Tzedek* on this subject, which is printed in the Gate of Supplements, chapter 2.
May Hashem grant that you redouble your zeal to the point of experiencing this perspiration of the mitzvah* in the exercise of your sacred mission — that of educating Jewish children, "the seed blessed by Hashem." And the Holy One, blessed be He, acts "measure for measure," but in a greatly increased manner.
You and your wife will derive much Chassidic satisfaction from all your children.

במענה על מכתבו מחוהמ"ס, הנה בכגון דא יש להרבות באותיות התורה והתפלה ובהשתדלות בעניני חינוך ובענינים הדומים הקשורים בזיעה של מצוה, ומובן שצריך להעשות מתוך שמחה ובטחון גמור בהשי"ת, וכמ"ש עבדו את ד' בשמחה, וידועה תשובת הצמח צדק בענין זה, נדפסה בשער המילואים חלק ב', והשי"ת יזכהו להוסיף אומץ עד כדי זיעה של מצוה בעבודתו בקדש בחינוך בני ישראל שיהיו זרע ברך ד' ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה וכמה פעמים ככה, וירוו נחת חסידותי ביחד עם זוגתו מכל יו"ח שיחיו.
