Greetings and blessings,

In your letter of 17 Marcheshvan, you inform me of the classes being given on the history of Chassidus*, and I am pleased by this. Your letter seems to indicate that those who attended these classes exert, for the most part, a wide influence on those around them. Every positive action on their part will therefore be multiplied by the fact that it will also reach those who follow them. The effort invested in them must therefore be increased.

You will also indicate to me the changes that have occurred as a result of the appointment of the young man Shvey (who became one of the teachers of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* Lubavitch of Montreal). Furthermore, have the new students been integrated into the study program?

I believe I drew your attention to the necessity of regularly publishing articles in the Montreal newspapers on matters related to Chassidus*. For the time being, my words have apparently not reached you — in the interpretation given by the Likkutei Torah*, in a parenthesis, at the beginning of Parshas Shemini* (that is, in the sense of integrating and absorbing). Until when will this be so? It would be good to see whether one can also publish articles about the publications of Kehot* editions.

I send you my blessing that the coming month — introduced by this Shabbos* that confers its blessing upon it — be the month of liberation in the fullest sense of the term, in the personal concerns of each person and the members of his family, as well as the occasion to share good tidings of all that has been said.

...נהניתי ממ"ש במכתבו מי"ז מ"ח ע"ד השיעורים אודות השתלשלות החסידות וכו', וכיון שכנראה ממכתבו רובא דרובא דהשומעים בעלי השפעה בסביבתם, הלא מובן שכל הטבה מהם נכפלת כ"פ ככה שבאה על ידם להמושפעים שלהם, ובמילא כדאית הוספה בהשתדלות בזה.

בטח יודיע מהשינוי בפועל ע"י התמנותו של האברך שוויי שי', וכן אם כבר נכנסו התלמידים החדשים בסדר הלימודים וכו'.

...כמדומה שהעירותי שימת לבבם שכדאי שידפיסו במכ"ע דמאנטרעאל לעתים קרובות ענינים ארום חסידות עכ"פ, וכנראה שלע"ע עדיין לא הגיעו דבריי אליהם (כפירוש הגיע המובא בלקו"ת ר"פ שמיני בחצאי עיגול), ועד מתי? וכדאי להתבונן ג"כ אם יש מקום להדפיס שם הערכות ע"ד מה שהו"ל בהוצאת קה"ת.

בברכה שהחדש הבע"ל שמתחיל עניניו משבת מברכין, יהי' חדש הגאולה במלא מובן המלה ובעניניו שלל כאו"א הוא וב"ב שיחיו ולבשו"ט בכהנ"ל.
