To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and undertakes a sacred mission,
Rav Shmaryahu (Rav S. Factor, of Brooklyn), the sofer*,
Greetings and blessings,
I learned, in its time, of your state of health and subsequently heard the good news of its improvement. Our Sages say that one ascends in the domain of holiness, and no doubt you will continue to improve until you fully recover your health.
Moreover, we have just entered the month of Kislev, that of deliverance and miracles, material and spiritual. The merit of the community will therefore protect you. Indeed, during these days, there has been published a Chassidic* discourse entitled "A Song, a Psalm for the Day of Shabbos*," which was pronounced by the holy mouth of the Alter Rebbe* and also published in Yiddish by his son, the Mitteler Rebbe*.
Now, you participated in the cost of this printing and, in this way, in the dissemination of the wellsprings (of Chassidus*) to the outside that is thereby accomplished.
May Hashem grant that you continue your activity in this direction, for long days and good years, deriving much satisfaction from your children and giving, in particular, good tidings of the settlement of your son, whom Hashem will grant a long life.

בעתו קבלתי הידיעה ע"ד מצב בריאותו ואחר זה בשורה טובה שהולך המצב וטוב, ובודאי כפסק רז"ל דמעלין בקדש הלוך ילך וטוב עד שיחזור לאיתנו.
וביחוד שנכנסו עתה בחדש כסלו הוא חדש הגאולה והנסים בגשם וברוח, וזכות הרבים תעמוד לו, אשר ימים אלו יצא לאור מאמר דברי אלקים חיים ד"ה מזמור שיר ליום השבת הנאמר מפי קדש הקדשים רבנו הזקן ונתפרסם גם באידיש ע"י בנו רבנו האמצעי.
אשר השתתף בהוצאות הדפוס ועל ידי זה בהפצת המעינות חוצה.
ויהי רצון שימשיך בכגון דא לארך ימים ושנים טובות וברוב נחת מכל יו"ח שיחיו, ולבשורות טובות ביחוד בהנוגע להסתדרות טובה של בנו שליט"א.
