Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to what you tell me in your latest letters.
Concerning the haircut of your son Avraham Yisrael, whom Hashem will grant a long life, I have heard on various occasions that it must be done at age three. Chassidus* explains why this is so. Among the printed texts, you may consult the Siddur* of the Maharid, Vol. 1, in the appendices. It seems that what is stated therein is based on a commentary of the Tzemach Tzedek*.
You are surely making the necessary preparations to take advantage of the propitious moment constituted by the luminous day of 19 Kislev, which is approaching — that of our deliverance and the freedom of our souls, when the light and vitality were granted to our souls — to disseminate, that is, to carry out a true dissemination of the wellsprings (of Chassidus*) to the outside, meaning to those who, for the time being, are still on the outside. It is certain that an effort is effective, especially when accomplished at a favorable time. Its effect is felt in daily existence.

א) אודות גזיזת השערות של בנם אברהם ישראל שליט"א, הנה מה ששמעתי כן כ"פ, שגוזזים השער במלאת שלש שנים, ונתבאר הענין ג"כ בדא"ח ובנדפסים הוא בסידור מהרי"ד ח"א ההשמטות שכנראה הנדפס שם מיוסד על דרוש אדמו"ר הצמח צדק...
בודאי עושים הכנות הדרושות לנצל העת רצון דיום הבהיר י"ט כסלו הבע"ל יום גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו אשר אור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו, להפיץ (הפצה דוקא) המעיינות חוצה (אפילו להאנשים שלעת עתה נמצאים עדיין בחוץ), וחזקה לתעמולה, ובפרט בעת רצון וימי סגולה שפועלת פעולתה עד שניכר גם בחיי היום יומים.
