Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter, which was undated. I hope that in the meantime you have received my greetings, through Professor Kirzon and his wife.

As you request, I will mention the names of all those you cite at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us. We have just entered Kislev, the month of deliverance. Now, it is not only us that He liberated in peace, but also our soul — the light and vitality of our soul, which were granted to us — in the expression of the Rebbe Rashab* in his well-known letter (cited at the beginning of HaYom Yom*; see also Igros Kodesh, Letter #3946).

This month is propitious for miracles concerning the soul and, consequently, for those that occur to the body. It is known, indeed, that the miracle of Chanukah* is, above all, one of the soul, for the children of Israel were then on their land. Nevertheless, a war ensued, and they (the Greeks) sought to dispossess them of their possessions, as the Rambam* emphasizes.

The meaning of the verse "These days are commemorated and relived" is well known. Indeed, when these days are commemorated each year in the appropriate manner, they can unfold anew and reveal the same lights as the first time. Moreover, the health of the body is also spiritual and belongs to the domain of holiness, for "having a healthy and whole body is among the ways of Hashem" (in the words of the Rambam*).

I enclose our latest publications, which will surely interest you.

I await your good tidings. You will tell me that you have resumed disseminating the wellsprings (of Chassidus*) during the time of "the Will of all wills" (on Shabbos* afternoon), as well as at other times during the week, each day having its specific content. You will do so in joy and in better health.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו - בלי הוראת זמן הכתיבה - ותקותי שבינתים קבל ג"כ פ"ש ע"י מר ומרת פרופ. קירזאן שיחיו.

כבקשתו אזכיר את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וכיון שנכנסים זה עתה בחדש כסלו הוא חדש הגאולה, אשר לא אותנו בלבד פדה בשלום אלא גם נפשנו ואור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו (לשון כ"ק אדמו"ר מוהרש"ב נ"ע במכתבו הידוע), הנה חדש הסגולה הוא לנסים בהנוגע להנשמה, ובד"מ לנסים גם בהנוגע להגוף. וכידוע אשר הנס דחנוכה בעיקר הענינים היו בהנוגע להנשמה כי ישבו ישראל על אדמתם וכו', אלא שהמסובב מזה הי' גם מלחמה כפשוטה ופשוטו וגם בממונם וכו' וכלשון הרמב"ם, וידוע ומפרסם פירוש הכתוב, והימים האלה (כשהם) נזכרים (בכל שנה ושנה הרי גם כל ההמשכות האלו בד"מ) ונעשים וגו', ובפרט שבריאות הגוף ג"כ ענין רוחני דקדושה כי היות הגוף בריא ושלם מדרכי השם הוא.

מוסג"פ מה שהו"ל לאחרונה, ובטח יעניין את כת"ר שי'.

המחכה לבשו"ט אשר שוב התחיל בהפצת המעיינות בעידנא דרעוא דרעוין וגם בשאר זמני השבוע אשר כל יומא ויומא עביד עבידתי' ועושה זה בשמחה ומתוך הטבת הבריאות.
