To the leaders of the youth of the Chabad* association in our Holy Land, Tel Aviv chapter, may Hashem grant you long life (an identical letter was sent to several other organizations),
Greetings and blessings,
I have duly received your letter of 21 Cheshvan, and I await the continuation of your positive reports, in particular regarding your activities during the month of Kislev, and especially on the luminous day of 19 Kislev and the fifth light of Chanukah* (the second liberation of the Alter Rebbe* from the Czarist prisons, the first being celebrated on 19 Kislev).
Indeed, 19 Kislev is the day of our deliverance and the freedom of our souls, when the light and vitality of our souls were granted to us (see also Igros Kodesh, Letter #3946). All of this is revealed before this date and, even more, after it. It suffices, for this, that man forge the necessary vessels to fully contain this revelation and make use of it in the best manner.
May Hashem grant that you know success in this matter. You will announce good tidings to me on this subject.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם מיום כ"א חשון, ואחכה להמשך ידיעותיהם הטובות, ובפרט בהנוגע לפעולות חדש כסלו וביחוד ביום הבהיר י"ט כסלו ונר החמישי דחנוכה.
והרי יום י"ט כסלו יום גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו אשר אור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו, ובמילא ממשיך כל זה מלפניו ועאכו"כ לאחריו, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא בעשיית כלים על ידי האדם לקבל ענינים לאו במילואם ולנצלם במילואם, ויהי רצון שיצליחו בזה ויבשרו אודות זה.
