To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of 1 Kislev, and I thank you for your account, though it was brief, of your visit to the institutions and settlements of the Chassidim* in the Holy Land. Furthermore, you brought them news from here (following his visit during Tishrei*).
May Hashem grant that these words have their effect upon those who hear them, and therefore, in a greatly increased manner, upon the one who pronounces them. They will lead to action, which is essential, in daily existence, during all the days of the year.
It would be good for the guests who were here (during Tishrei*) to visit, all or some of them, the various groups of Chabad* women and girls, in order to strengthen and encourage them to reinforce their activities and to develop them. It is certain that an effort is never in vain.
You are no doubt making all the necessary preparations to take advantage of the days of 19 Kislev and the fifth light of Chanukah* (the date of the second liberation of the Alter Rebbe* from the Czarist prisons, the first being on 19 Kislev) in the most positive manner. You will let me know, with the appropriate detail.

במענה על מכתבו מא' כסלו, הנה ת"ח על הפ"ש, אף כי בקיצור מאשר ביקר במוסדות ומושבות אנ"ש אשר באה"ק ת"ו ומסר פ"ש מכאן וכו', ויה"ר שהדברים יפעלו בהשומעים (ובד"מ, יפעלו כ"פ ככה בהמשמיע) ויביאו לפועל והוא העיקר בחיי היום יומים במשך שאר ימות השנה, ומהנכון הי' שיבקרו האורחים שהיו כאן כולם או עכ"פ חלק מהם בכל סניפי נשי ובנות חב"ד למען לעודדם ולעוררם בהחזקת פעולותיהם ובהרחבתם, וחזקה לתעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם...
בודאי עושים הכנות הדרושות לנצל ימי י"ט כסלו ונר חמישי דחנוכה באופן הכי טוב, ויודיע בפרטיות המתאימה.
