To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, devotes himself to communal needs, and possesses vast knowledge,

Greetings and blessings,
I see, at the end of your letter, that at the request of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, you translated a part of the "Conversations with the Youth" into French and German. You are surely referring to the talks of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. I would like to know whether you have retained a copy of these translations.
By separate mail, the French-language publications of the Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch*, intended for the youth, have been sent to you. These, however, are not texts of Chassidus*.
On the occasion of the festival of liberation, 19 Kislev, which is approaching, I enclose a fascicle of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, relating to this festival. What is stated therein is no doubt well known to you, but a particular interest is accorded to the words of the master, and every study always brings a new idea.

...רואה אנוכי בסיום מכתבו כי תרגם על פי בקשת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע חלק מה"שמועסן" לצרפתית ולגרמנית. וכנראה שכוונתו לשיחות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, ואתענין לדעת אם נשמרה אצלו העתקה מתרגומיו. ובחבילה בפ"ע נשלח לכ' ממה שהוצאנו לאור בצרפתית מהוצאות המרכז לעניני חינוך בשביל הנוער, בשגם אינם עניני חסידות.
בקשר עם חג הגאולה י"ט כסלו הבע"ל, מוסג"פ חוברת מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ע"ד פרשת החג. ואף שבודאי הדברים ידועים לכת"ר, אבל חביבין דברי הרב ואין בית מדרש בלא חידוש.
