Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter, in which you tell me that you are considering coming to continue your studies here, and you ask me what I think.
In my opinion, if you truly want to study at a Chassidic* yeshivah*, you should, first and foremost, opt for Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* of Lod, at least for one year. It is only after that that you will ask whether you should come to the yeshivah* here.
In any case, regardless of which yeshivah* you continue your studies at, you have, of course, the obligation and the merit of participating in the fixed classes — fixed both in time and in spirit — each day, studying "the words of the living Elokim*," that is, Chassidus*, its practices and its customs. You will also influence others in this direction.
Such study is intrinsically important. Furthermore, it will bring about your success and your elevation in the Chassidic* ways. And nothing withstands the will. May Hashem grant you the ability to give good tidings regarding all of this.
You surely participated in the Chassidic* gathering on the luminous day of 19 Kislev, the festival on which He liberated our soul in peace, when the light and vitality of our souls were granted to us. No doubt this enabled you to strengthen your commitment to Chassidus* and the Chassidic* ways.

במענה על מכתבו, בו כותב אודות הסברא שיסע ללמוד לכאן, ושואל חוות דעתי בזה.
ולדעתי הנה אם רצונו באמת ללמוד בישיבה חסידותית - אזי לכל לראש ילמוד בישיבת תומכי תמימים בלוד, ולכל הפחות במשך שנה, ורק אחר כך להעמיד על סדר היום את השאלה אודות נסיעה להישיבה בכאן. ובכל אופן מובן, שבאיזה ישיבה שילמוד חובתו וזכותו ללמוד שיעורים קבועים, קבועים בזמן וקבועים בנפש, בכל יום ויום בתורת דברי אלקים חיים זוהי תורת החסידות ולהתנהג בהדרכותי' ומנהגי', ולהשפיע גם על הזולת בזה, שנוסף על גודל ענין זה מצד עצמו, הרי הוא גם נוגע להצלחתו ועלייתו הוא בדרכי החסידות, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב בכל זה.
בודאי השתתף בהתועדות יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, החג אשר פדה בשלום נפשנו ואור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו, והביא זה להוספה בעניניו בהנוגע להחסידות ודרכי החסידות.
