Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letters of 29 Cheshvan, 1, 7, and 12 Kislev. In the meantime, you have surely received the corrections I made to your article (on the literature of Chabad*; see Igros Kodesh, Letter #3879).

You envision the establishment of a comprehensive list (of Chabad* books). This is a good proposal. You surely have the ability to procure the fascicle Shaarei Chabad, by Mr. Haberman, which establishes a list of Chabad* books. Nevertheless, it does not include works belonging to the revealed dimension of the Torah*. It does, however, include books that discuss the teachings of Chabad*. Yours, on the other hand, will be limited to the writings of our masters.

You make a comparison between the Bitaon and the Kovetz (the Bitaon Chabad is the organ of the Chabad* youth association in the Holy Land, while the Kovetz Lubavitch is published in New York). It is clear that these periodicals do not have the same purpose. It is therefore not necessary for them to adopt the same presentation, nor, a fortiori, the same content. Nevertheless, you propose that the Bitaon bear the logo of Kehot Publications. This is a good suggestion, on condition that one is certain a good proofreading has been done.

I await your letter, which will be as detailed as possible, regarding the Chassidic* gathering and the celebration of 19 Kislev in the various locations of the Holy Land, in particular at Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* and at Kfar Chabad. The talks and songs were no doubt recorded. You will therefore send these recordings here, as was done last year. Nevertheless, you will not do so as belatedly.

It is surely unnecessary to specify that, for what you know personally, you will write to me yourself, and for the rest, you will encourage those who know to write to me in detail and as soon as possible. Obviously, a repetition is preferable to information that is not transmitted.

במענה על מכ' מכ"ט חשון, א, ז, וי"ב כסלו, ובודאי בינתים קבל מכתב התיקונים להרשימה שלו.

ובמ"ש אודות עריכת רשימה מלאה, בכלל נכון הדבר, ובטח האפשריות בידו להשיג החוברת "שערי חב"ד" למר הברמן, ששם נרשמו ספרי חב"ד (אבל לא אלו שבנגלה), אלא שבחוברת זו נכללו גם ספרים המדברים אודות תורת חב"ד, משא"כ ברשימתו הוא שצריך להגבילה רק לספרי הנשיאים וכיו"ב.

במ"ש אודות הבטאון בהשוואה להקובץ, הנה מובן שאין מטרת שניהם שוה, ובמילא אין מההכרח שיהי' דומים בצורתם החיצונית ועאכו"כ בתוכנם, אבל במ"ש שיהי' חותם קה"ת על הבטאון, מתאים הדבר ובתנאי שיהיו בטוחים שההגהה תהי' כדבעי...

אחכה למכתבו מפורט ככל האפשרי בהנוגע להתועדות וחגיגת י"ט כסלו במקומות השונים באה"ק ת"ו, וביחוד בישיבת תו"ת ובכפר חב"ד, וכן בטח קלטו הנאומים והנגונים, וישלחו גם זה לכאן וכדאשתקד, אלא שלא במאוחר כ"כ, ובודאי למותר לעוררו שאודות הידוע לו יכתוב עצמו, וע"ד השאר הנה יזרז את כל אלו היודעים שיכתבו בפרטיות ובהקדם, ומובן שטוב יותר ידיעה כפולה מאשר לא כל ידיעה.
