Greetings and blessings,
You have informed me that you are moving into a new house these days, and I send you my response on this subject (this letter was sent to several people who had moved).
You surely know the custom adopted by the Chassidim* in recent times, which consists of introducing into the new place (see Igros Kodesh, Letter #3265), before anything else, a Siddur*, a Tehillim*, and a Tanya*. Likewise, the mezuzos* will be affixed immediately (see Igros Kodesh, Letter #2172), obviously without a blessing. Then, after thirty days, you will have one of them checked. You may, of course, exchange the latter for a more beautiful one. Commenting on the verse "He is my Elokim* and I wish to beautify Him," our Sages say: "Adorn yourself before Him through the mitzvos*" (by fulfilling them in the finest manner). It is then that you will recite the blessing (pertaining to this new mezuzah*, after the thirty days), which will also discharge your obligation for the other mezuzos*.
The days of Chanukah* are approaching, and you will take advantage of them to inaugurate (Chanukah* also means inauguration) the house through a Chassidic* gathering, in the appropriate manner. You know the saying of our holy masters (see Igros Kodesh, Letter #3947) that "a process unfolds in the manner in which it was initiated." It will therefore be a Chassidic* house in every respect.

במענה להודעתו אשר ימים אלו נכנסים לדירתם החדשה.
הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' בשעה טוב ומוצלחת, משנה מקום משנה מזל לטובה ולברכה בכל הענינים.
ובודאי יודע ממנהג אנ"ש בזמן האחרון, להכניס למקום החדש לכל לראש, סידור חומש תהלים ותניא, וכן לקבוע מזוזות תיכף, כמובן בלי ברכה, ובמלאת שלשים יום, לקחת מזוזה אחת לבודקה, והרשות בידו להחליפה ביותר נאה ממנה, וכדרז"ל זה אלי ואנוהו, התנאה לפניו במצות, ובמילא מחוייב בברכה, ויכוין להוציא כל שאר המזוזות.
וכיון שימי החנוכה ממשמשים ובאים, כדאי לחנך את הדירה בהתועדות חסידותית באופן המתאים, וכבר ידוע פתגם רבותינו הק' אז ווי מען שטעלט זיך אוועק אזוי גייט דאס. שיהי' הבית בית חסידותי בכל.
