Greetings and blessings,

During the Chassidic* gathering on the luminous day of 19 Kislev — the festival on which He liberated our soul in peace, when the light and vitality of our soul were granted to us, in the terms of the well-known letter of the Rebbe Rashab* — I was informed of what, unfortunately, happened to you and to your wife.

This news was conveyed to me at a propitious moment. Moreover, the Alter Rebbe* says, in the name of his masters, in Igeres HaKodesh*, Chapter 23: "If an angel were to be found among ten Jews, even when they do not utter words of the Torah* (he would immediately be consumed)." How much more so when tens of Jews are gathered and share the joy of a leader of Israel. It is therefore certain that your situation will improve very quickly, as the Likkutei Torah* explains, at the end of Parshas* Korach, regarding the verse: "His Word runs swiftly."

No doubt your trust in Hashem has not been diminished, Heaven forbid, for this is the necessary vessel for obtaining heavenly success in a considerable manner. I hope to receive very soon from you good tidings in this matter, especially since we are on the eve of Chanukah*, when it is necessary to add (an increasing number of candles), to ascend in holiness, including toward the outside, particularly when one spreads the wellsprings (of Chassidus*) to the outside, until "the night will shine like the day," with the coming of our righteous Moshiach*, speedily and in our days, Amen.

שלום וברכה!

בעת ההתועדות דיום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, החג אשר פדה בשלום נפשנו ואור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו (לשון אגרת כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע הידוע), מסרו לי הידיעה אודות המאורע ל"ע ול"ע, עמו ועם זוגתו שיחיו. וכיון שנמסר הדבר בעת רצון, ובמכש"כ וק"ו מפתגם רבנו הזקן מה ששמע מרבותינו "כי אילו נמצא מלאך אחד עומד במעמד עשרה מישראל ביחד אף שאינם מדברים בדברי תורה כו" (אגה"ק סי' כ"ג), עאכו"כ במעמד עשיריות מישראל העומדים בהתעוררות שמחה דנשיא ישראל, מובטחני אשר ילך מצבם הלוך וטוב, במהירות, וע"ד המבואר בלקו"ת ס"פ קרח, בענין עד מהרה ירוץ דברו.

ובודאי לא יוגרע ח"ו במדת הבטחון שלו, שזהו הכלי לקבלת הצלחה מופלגה מלמעלה, ואקוה לקבל ממנו בשורה טובה בקרוב בזה, ובפרט שנמצאים אנו ערב ימי חנוכה אשר דינם שמוסיף והולך ומעלה בקדש ואפילו מבחוץ, וביחוד ע"י הפצת המעיינות חוצה עד אש לילה כיון יאיר בביאת משיח צדקנו בב"א.
