To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*, possessing good character traits, multiplying positive accomplishments, devoted to communal needs, Rav Dovid,

Greetings and blessings,

I read with pleasure in your letter that you are striving to strengthen your connection with various circles and diverse individuals. And you intend to use this connection as a channel to bring them the Word of Hashem*, that of our Torah*, Torah of life, and its mitzvos*.

The Holy One, blessed be He, acts "measure for measure." By bringing a Jew health — spiritual or material — one receives from Hashem* the strengthening of one's own health, spiritual and material alike. Indeed, Hashem* also acts in a greatly increased manner, and even infinitely so, commensurate with the distance — which is itself immeasurable — between the Creator and the creature.

I was particularly pleased to see that you have provided several brochures and pamphlets to the library of the convalescent home. This is a public facility, and the merit of all therefore depends on you. Please indicate to me, based on the level of those who frequent this place, which books published by Kehot* would be appropriate for them. I will endeavor to send them. You may consult the Kehot* catalog with one of the Chassidim*.

I thank you for having edited the letter for the Rabbanim* and the one for the physicians. I am also grateful to you for sending me the corresponding press clippings. I have received the Ha Roke'ach magazine with your article, and I thank you for it. No doubt you will do the same in the future. Please send me your publications, for many benefit from them through the library that is located here.

You surely participated in the celebration of 19 Kislev* in the proper manner, particularly at Kfar Chabad*. Please share with me your impressions, as well as those of the other participants. Indeed, it is necessary to know this in certain areas, and in fact, the Sage says that the past provides instruction for the future. One can therefore deduce from it what is possible to improve.

..נעם לי לקרות במכתבו אשר משתדל לחזק הקישור שלו בחוגים שונים ועם אנשים שונים, ומנצל הקישור בתור צנור להביא אליהם דבר ה' אשר בתורתנו תורת חיים ומצותי', ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה, אשר ע"י שמבריאים את איש היהודי באיזה ענין שהוא הן ברוחניות והן בגשמיות, מחזק השי"ת בריאות המתעסק בזה ברוחניות ובגשמיות גם יחד, כי הרי מדתו של הקב"ה היא כמה פעמים ככה עד לאיך ערוך. וכמובן ג"כ מריחוק הערך, או יותר נכון מהבאין ערוך שבין הבורא להנברא.

ביחוד גרם לי קורת רוח מה שהמציא כמה קונטרסים וחוברות להספרי' דבית ההבראה, שהוא ענין הרבים וזכות הרבים תלוי בו, ומטובו בהתאם לרמת המתארחים שם, להודיעני איזה ספרים מתאימים בשבילם מספרי הוצאת קה"ת, ואשתדל שיושלחו לשם, ובודאי יוכל לראות אצל מי מאנ"ש הקטלוג של הוצאת קה"ת.

ת"ח על שהדפיס המכתב להרבנים והמכתב להרופאים, ועל שימת לבבו לשלוח לי הקטעים, כן מאשר הנני בתודה קבלת חוברת הרוקח עם מאמרו, ובטח ינהג כזה גם להבא, לשלוח לכאן מהנדפס על ידו, כיון שרבים נהנים מספרי' שבכאן.

בטח השתתף בחגיגת י"ט כסלו באופן המתאים, וביחוד בכפר חב"ד, ויודיעני הרושם שלו, וכן הרושם על שאר הנאספים שבטח ישנם דברים שבשבילם צריכים לדעת זה, וכבר ידוע מאמר החכם אשר העבר מלמד העתיד, שמהנ"ל אפשר יהי' לדעת מה צריך שכלול ושיפור יותר.
