To my father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita,
In my previous letter, concerning the prohibition of cutting the beard, I made reference to the Midrash Tanchuma* and the citation I gave from it was not exact, for it was reproduced based solely on my memory. Nevertheless, this does not call into question the explanation that was developed.
I remain his son-in-law, wishing that he always know good and requesting his blessing.

כתבתי במכ' הקודם - לסעיף י"ד [ט"ו] של שו"ת הצ"צ - שיש מחברים במדרש תנחומא סוף פרשה וראש פ' שלאחרי' ומביאים גם סיפא דקרא דעת"י יתיב. וטעות היאידי, כי כתבתי ע"פ הרשום בזכרון. אלא גירסת המדת"נ היא שמביאים גם סיפא דקרא הנ"ל. וע"ז אפשר לומר, לפענ"ד, הכתוב במכתבי.
