To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Yisrael Zussman,
Greetings and blessings,
You mention your participation in the public classes. This is indeed a wise course of action. In accordance with the ruling of our Torah*, "it is a mitzvah* to publicize who fulfills the mitzvah*," as stated in the Shulchan Aruch*, Yoreh De'ah*, chapter 249, paragraph 13 (also consult the Nekudas HaKesef at that reference). You should therefore post on the wall the list of participants in each class. This will encourage them, and one may hope that everyone will wish to see his name appear on that list.
Obviously, you will do all of this in consultation with the elders of the Kfar* (Kfar Chabad*) and, above all, with the Rav, the "master of the place." The Chassidic discourse "Enlist from among you men" by the Rebbe Rashab* explains the value of a decision that is made publicly. Please consult that text.
